The pressure to be adjusted and the required
working depth depend on the soil conditions and
must be determined in field tests.
The pressure in the accumulator should not be
higher than necessary for the working depth.
The working depth of the stabilising disc is ad-
justed by using aluminium clips as end stop on
the hydraulic cylinder.
When removing clips the stabilising disc can cut
deeper into the ground.
The next possible height change is indicated by
the colour combination of the clips on the sticker
of the hydraulic cylinder.
Pressure accumulator
The hydraulic system is equipped with a pres-
sure accumulator for the stabilising disc.
Do not open or work (welding, drilling)
on the pressure accumulator. Even
after being emptied, the accumulator is
still preloaded by gas pressure.
Always depressurise the pressure accumulator
before starting work on the hydraulic system.
The pressure gauge should not indicate any
pressure.
The pressure gauge reading should drop to 0
bar. Only then may work be carried out on the
hydraulic system.
Stabilising disc
The shallow cultivator can be equipped with a
stabilising disc to ensure smooth running and to
prevent sideways drifting when working across
slopes.
Stabilising disc
The stabilising disc is bolted to the main frame
and hydraulically connected to the lift cylin-
ders.
It is thus automatically lifted with the machine.
Operation:
Lower the cultivator to the ground and switch
the three-way valve over.
Operate the “Lift” control and pre-load the
pressure accumulator. The controlled pres-
sure can be read on the pressure gauge.
The pressure accumulator can be pre-
loaded with max. 80 bar.
When the machine is lifted the pressure in the
accumulator will rise.
If the accumulator is pre-loaded too high, the
stabilising disc cannot be lifted up completely.
Switch over the three-way valve and lift the
machine.
