Depth setting
The depth setting of the levelling discs is made
after the tines have reached the desired work-
ing depth. The setting is made using aluminium
clips.
¾
Place aluminium clips on the piston rods of
the hydraulic cylinders and pull the cylinder
against the clips.
The fewer aluminium clips are inserted, the
deeper the discs work.
Hydraulic cylinder for disc levelling
Operation without disc levelling
Depending on the operating conditions, the
machine can be operated without disc levelling.
¾
Extend the hydraulic cylinders fully and fill
them up with aluminium clips.
¾
Pull the cylinders up against the clips.
Maintenance
Bearings are oil-filled and therefore maintenance
free.
¾
Check the discs regularly for clearance, leak
tightness of the bearings, wear and free rota-
tion.
Notes on cleaning
Mechanical seals are very sensitive against the
precipitation of water and the subsequent, long
downtimes.
In case of rust the mechanical seals will stick,
are damaged and the bearing will no longer be
leak tight.
¾
Do not clean bearings with high pressure
cleaning equipment.
¾
Spray the bearings with anti-seizing or corro-
sion protection agent.
¾
Before restarting operation turn the discs by
hand and check for free running.
