OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS FOR CALF MILk HEATER
Please keep this information safe. The safety instructions contain important information on the
safety and operation of the heater.
WARNING!
Improper use of the heater can be dangerous. Please observe the following measures to ensure safe
operation:
SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
1. Do not expose the plastic upper part or the plug of the heater to water or other liquids.
2. Avoid cable damage:
- Don´t pull or carry the heater by the cable
- Don´t pull out the power plug by the cable
3. Protect the cable from sharp edges, oil and heat.
4. If the heater is not in use, disconnect the plug from the AC mains.
5. Always disconnect the plug from the AC mains, when testing or maintenance tasks are being carried
out.
6. Never remove fixed covers and screws. Always ensure the heater has all its parts in place.
Do not operate with a damaged supply cable.
PRECAUTIONARY MEASURES FOR THE CALF MILk HEATER
1. The heater may only be used with the voltage indicated on the nameplate.
2. Do not open heater and repair yourself.
3. Only energize the heater when the unit is immersed in liquid to at least the minimum immersion depth.
4. Only use the heater in suitable vessels.
5. During heating, the liquid must not sink below the minimum immersion depth.
6. The max. immersion depth of the heater is indicated on the heater tube with “MAX”. Never immerse the
heater above the max. immersion depth.
7. If the unit is heavily overloaded, the built-in protective temperature limiter switches off the heater.
Have the heater checked immediately for faults and only repaired by a licensed specialist.
8. Please unplug the heater before removing from the liquid.
9. Please note that the heating element of the heater is still hot even after unplugging and therefore should
never be touched nor stored on flammable surfaces.
GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS AND PRECAUTIONS
1. Only use the heater for those purposes indicated in the product specific regulations. Otherwise the
guarantee and liability claim vis-a-vis the manufacturer will expire.
2. Never touch the liquid when the heater is connected to the mains and stands in the liquid.
3. Heating liquids is only allowed when children are kept at a safe distance from the heating place.
4. Never use a damaged heater. The heater should be checked for faults immediately and may only be
repaired by licensed skilled persons.
