Bootstrap Server
Bootstrap procedure is one of the most valuable parts
of the LwM2M protocol. Homard incorporates a
LwM2M
Bootstrap Server
which allow to initialise the Smart Spot
device with different confi gurations (instances) such as
LwM2M Servers, WLAN Connectivity, APN Connection
profi les, ...
Currently the Homard interface allows to confi gure the
LwM2M Servers where the Smart Spot will connect.
Additionally to the Homard Server provided by HOP
Ubiquitous for the management of the Smart Spot,
other LwM2M Servers such as FIWARE IoTAgents for
integration with FIWARE infrastructure, third party private
LwM2M Servers, … can be confi gured.
To access to this confi guration click on the
‘Bootstrap
Server’
icon on the menu available on the left side of
Homard interface. Then, select the device which you want
to confi gure.
To add a new LwM2M Server press on the ‘add’ icon. This
will show a menu where to introduce a common name for
the connection and the LwM2M Server endpoint.
The LwM2M Server endpoint must have an specifi c
format described below:
coap://dnsorip:port
(i.e: coap://192.168.1.100:5683 or coap://staging.hopu.
eu:5683)
