Easy Connect
LwM2M protocol offers two specifi c objects for the
confi guration of WiFi and APN connections. Carry out this
process through the offi cial OMA Objects could present
diffi culties for some users so, to facilitate the process of
confi gure WiFi Stations where to connect the Smart Spot
or confi gure a SIM Card (GPRS connectivity), a specifi c
tool called ‘Easy connect’ has been included in Homard.
To access to the WiFi/APN confi gurator tool click on the
‘Easy connect’ icon on the menu available on the left side
of the Homard interface. Then, select the device which
you want to confi gure. From this point, the interface will
guide you through an easily, short and fast interface as
shown on the fi gure 2 .
To confi gure a new WiFi access point where to connect
the Smart Spot, the interface will request the following
information:
• Enable connection: Defi nes if this confi guration must
be enabled or not.
• SSID Name: Name of the SSID where the device must
connect
• Password: Password of the WiFi acess point.
Finally, a summary of the confi guration will be shown as
illustrated by the fi gure 6 . By pressing ‘Validate’ button, the
confi guration will be applied to the Smart Spot.
