by default.

There are three events (alerts) categories may be displayed –

Advisory

Watch

 or

Warning

Advisory-

an advisory is issued when a hazardous weather or hydrologic

event is occurring, imminent or likely. Advisories are for less serious

conditions than warnings, which cause significant inconvenience and if

caution is not exercised, could lead to situations that may threaten life or

property.

Watch

–potential severe weather approaching your area. It does not

mean severe weather occur, but that the right conditions exist which could

lead to severe storms. You should be prepared for the weather to

deteriorate rapidly.

Warning

–severe weather is imminent or present in your vicinity. You

should immediately take precautions to protect yourself and your family.
