Event Report Criteria
The Event Report Criteria screen allows you to specify whether the search and extraction
process will be based on timelapse or event information.
You may select as many or as few types of events as you want. These events are set up
separately using the Event Recording function (see
Chapter 11, Event Recording Setup ).
Reports can be based on the following event types:
• Motion events are set up using the Motion Events function (see Setting Motion Events ,
page 63 ).
• Text events are set up using the Text Events function (see Setting Alarm Events , page
67 ).
• Alarm events are set up using the Alarm Events function (see Setting Alarm Events ,
page 67 ).
To set criteria for an Event Report:
1. Open the Create New Report screen ( Main Setup
➤
Reports
➤
Create New
Report ).
2. Enable Event .
3. Select Report Criteria Setup , then press Enter . Figure 16-4 displays.

4. Select the desired events: You may select as many or as few event types as you want.
These events are set up separately using the Event Recording function (see
Chapter 11 ).
• Alarm searches clips based on alarm events from specific camera(s). See Setting
Alarm Events , page 67 for more information.
• Motion searches clips based on motion events. See Setting Motion Events , page
63 for more information.
• Text searches clips based on text events from up to four text insertion devices
connected to the text input port. See
Setting Alarm Events , page 67 for more
information.
5. When you enable Time-lapse, the system can search both timelapse and event video
clips.
6. When you have finished setting the event report criteria, select OK , then press Enter
to return to the Create New Report screen.
7. Select Accept , then press Enter to return to the Reports main menu. The new report
you created displays on the Select Reports drop-down list.
