Event Recording Setup
The HRDVS can detect different kinds of events:
•
Alarm inputs
•
Text inputs
•
Motion detection
Note
Event video clips are stored in the event disk partition.
Note
If you want your HRDVS to act solely as an event recorder, set the timelapse
Record Rate (fps) to record as
0
). Set the drive storage for 100%
event recording (see
). When the HRDVS
is used only as an event recorder, video records when a text event, alarm
event, or motion event is detected.
Caution
If you use your HRDVS as a combined timelapse/event recorder, the
event recording settings override the timelapse settings when an
event is detected. When the system detects an event, the timelapse
recording stops and the event recording settings are used instead.
After the event recording ceases, timelapse recording will restart at
its defined parameters. See
Chapter 11, Event Recording Setup
.
You can set the system to handle each event type separately. You can also give each of
these events its own event recording values. When the disk is full, a system error occurs,
or a video signal is lost, the operator can be alerted to its occurrence. For more
information on how the HRDVS responds to events, see
.
This chapter describes how to use the Event Recording menu to specify how the system
responds to the following external events:
•
The main events defined in the system are motion, transaction text, and alarms with
the option for pre-event storage.
Alarm and motion events default to OFF and must be enabled prior to use. The
default for text events is OFF. Program the event to timed or automatic mode.
