Setting Motion Events
Before you use motion events, you must enable them for each camera and enter some
basic settings. For more information on how a motion event triggers an event video clip to
be recorded, see
General Event Setup , page 61 .
To set up motion events:
1. Access the Motion Event screen as follows: Main Setup

2. Use the following table to set motion events for up to four input ports.
Camera Homing Note This feature is not available on the HRDVS1.
Enables or disables (default) camera homing for motion, text, and alarm events.

period or as long as motion is detected
(as set in the Motion Event screen).
Text event Record text events The associated camera for that text event
for the duration (as set in the Text Event

The number of camera buttons
in this field depends on your
HRDVS model.
Field Description
Enable Enable or disable each Motion input port (1 to 16).
Camera Rate (fields/sec) Specify the number of fields per second that should be recorded by the selected
camera.
Event Text Assign a title to each motion event. This text is used when you create a report (see
Creating a Report , page 94 ) or review events (see General Event Setup , page 61 ).
