Description
6
Wait a few minutes and check the reading
for outlet pressure p
d
in the outlet cham-
ber.
7
If necessary, keep adjusting the set screw
setting until you get the right outlet
pressure p
d
.
8
Tighten the lock nut (1) to secure the set
screw (2) setting.

Adjusting the amplifying valve
The following changes in the gas pressure
regulator’s control behavior can be achieved by
adjusting the amplifying valve on the pilot:
If the gas pressure regulator exhibits a sluggish response to changes in the manipulated
variable, the response times can be shortened.
If the gas pressure regulat
or’s dynamic response to changes in the manipulated variable
is too fast and this results in oscillations, the gas pressure regulator’s response can be
slowed down.
Proceed as follows:

You want to speed up the actuator assembly’s
response
Carry out step 2a and then continue to step 3.
You want to slow down the actuator assembly’s
response, e.g.,
in the case that there are oscilla-
tions
Carry out step 2b and then continue to step 3.
