Mounting the Camera
You can install the camera to a ceiling, wall, pole, parapet, or roof using the following
Honeywell products:

Refer to the installation instructions included with the mounts for more detailed instructions
on installing the mount and camera. See the following sections for more information on
installing the HDZ series camera with the above mounts.
Installing a Ceiling Mount (HDZCM1)
The HDZCM1 ceiling mount weighs 1.72 lb. (0.78 kg) and can be installed directly to a
load-bearing ceiling.
Important Notes:
•
Ensure that the ceiling can support the combined weight of the camera and the mount
(at least 16.54 lb. [7

5kg]).
•
If you are using a Micro SD card, install the card first (not supplied, refer to
Inserting
the SD Card
on page

).
•
When you attach the mount to the ceiling in step 3, please make sure the mount is fixed
to the ceiling with appropriate material and is kept stable as the PTZ is so heavy that it
might drop when you attach it to the mount with the security chain (step 6).
Installing a Wall Mount (HDZWM1)
The HDZWM1 wall mount weighs 1.46 lb (0.66 kg) and can be installed directly to a load-
bearing wall, or to a corner or pole using an appropriate adapter.
Important Notes:
•
Ensure that the mounting surface can support the combined weight of the camera
and the mount (at least 16.54 lb [7.5 kg]).
•
If you
are
using
a Micro SD card, install the card first (not supplied, refer to
Inserting
the SD Card
on page

).
•
When you attach the mount to the wall in step 2, please make sure the mount is fixed to
the wall with appropriate material and is kept stable as the PTZ is so heavy that it might

Open a cable exit hole from the
ceiling.
2.
Feed the cables through the
mount,
leaving approximately
0.5 ft (0.15 m) extending past
the end of the mount.
3.
Attach the mount to the ceiling
using appropriate hardware.
4.
Loosen the locking screw.
5.
Screw the adapter onto the
ceiling mount and tighten the
locking screw.
6.
Connect the security chain to
the eyelet of the adapter.
7.
Connect the cables.
8.
Attach the camera body to the
adapter.
9.
Tighten the three screws to
secure the camera body to the
mount.

the end of the mount.

Attach the mount to the wall
using appropriate hardware.

Screw the adapter to the wall
mount and tighten the locking
screw.
5.
Connect the security chain to
the eyelet of the adapter.
6.
Feed the camera cables
through the mount.
7.
Attach the camera body to the
adapter.
8.
Tighten the three screws to
secure the camera body to the
mount.
9.
Connect the cables through the
opening. Push the connected
cables back into the mount and
close the cable cover.
