White Balance
The White Balance function is used to optimize the on-screen colors.
In the SETUP menu, navigate to
WHITE BAL
, and set it to
MANUAL
,
ATW
(default),
AWB
,
or
AWC->SET
.
If MANUAL is selected, do the following:
1.
Press the joystick to enter the MANUAL WB menu (see
Figure 7
).

Set
BLUE
to a value between
0
and
100
. The default setting is 28.
3.
Set
RED
to a value between
0
and
100
. The default setting is 16.
4.
Select
RETURN
to save your settings and return to the SETUP menu.
Mode
Description
ATW
Auto Tracking White Balance mode compensates for color temperature
changes between 1,800 K and 10,500 K. This mode is best suited for outdoor
scenes.
AWB
Auto White Balance mode compensates for color temperature changes
between 3,000 K and 7,000 K. This mode is best suited for indoor scenes.
AWC->SET
Auto White Balance Control - Set (push lock) mode fixes the white balance
based on current lighting. For best results, place a white piece of paper in front
of the camera during adjustment. This mode is best suited for indoor scenes
with lighting at a constant color temperature.
MANUAL
Manual mode lets you make detailed adjustments to the white balance. After
first setting the white balance to ATW or AWB mode, set the blue and red gain
in MANUAL mode. This mode is best suited for indoor scenes with lighting at
a constant color temperature.
