7. TRIMMING OPERATION

Read and understand the safety instructions on pages 3 to 13 before 

operating the grass/weed trimmer.

If you notice any abnormal sound, smell, vibration, or other unusual 

signs, stop the engine immediately and consult your authorized Honda 

dealer.

Grass/weed trimmer holding position adjustment:

Stop the engine when adjusting the length of the shoulder harness.

1.Adjust the shoulder harness so that the hanger is positioned at your 

right hip (see page 27).

2.Hang the trimmer on the shoulder harness hook by its hanger.

3.Keep the trimmer so that the cutting attachment is parallel to the 

ground by holding the handle with your both hands.

4.Adjust the shoulder harness length so that the cutting attachment is 

parallel to the ground and stays above the ground keeping the 

clearance specified below.

Do not operate the grass/weed trimmer if the turning cutting 

attachment could reach your feet. Your feet can get injured if the 

turning cutting attachment touches your feet.
