BLADE HOLDER/DRIVE BELT

HRR216VKA

2. DRIVE BELT (K5, K6)

REMOVAL 

1. Disconnect the spark plug cap.

2. Drain the fuel tank and engine oil.

3. Put a protective pad around the upper handle pipe. Tip 

the mower upside down and secure the upper handle 
pipe in a bench vise.

4. Remove the 4 flange bolts and the belt cover. 

5. Place a large screwdriver between the belt tension arm 

and transmission cover. Rotate the transmission to 
loosen and remove the drive belt from the driven pulley.

6. Remove the belt from the drive pulley.

7. Remove the belt tension spring from the tension arm by 

using a large flat blade screwdriver and lifting the spring 
hook off the tension arm as shown.

8. Remove the belt from the lawn mower.
