11. VLA type only:
Reinstall the electric starter motor ( P. 9-12 ) and tighten
the two 6 mm bolts to the specified torque.
TORQUE: 11 N•m (97 in•lb)
Reconnect the battery charger connector on the
handlebar.
12. VYA type only:
Reinstall the drive pulley and drive belt.
Check the bearing in the blade holder to ensure it rotates
smoothly, and does not bind or feel rough or gritty. It is
recommended to replace this bearing if the crankshaft is
being replaced due to impact damage.
Install the Roto-Stop assembly following the instructions
starting on
P. 4-11 .
13. Install the fan cover and tighten the five 6 x 23 mm bolts
to the specified torque ( P. 7-3 ).
TORQUE: 12 N•m (9 ft-lb)
14. Install the top cover and spring nut, and then tighten the
5 x 8 mm screw to secure the top cover in place ( P. 7-1 ).
TORQUE: 1 N•m (8.8 in•lb)
Reinstall the fuel tank cap.
