Continuing to ride with an overheated
engine can cause serious engine damage.
Overheating Message:
When the coolant temperature reaches
251°F (122°C), the numbers in the
temperature meter start flashing. At the
same time, the high coolant temperature
indicator ( ) flashes and the malfunction
indicator lamp (MIL) ( ) goes on.
If this occurs, stop the engine and check
the reserve tank coolant level. Read pages
and do not ride the motorcycle
until the problem has been corrected.
