Cleaning the gear case:
If there is contaminated material such as grass, thread, mud, or dirt in
between the gear case, grass guard, and blade holder A, clean them
using the following procedure.
1.Stop the engine with the engine switch to the OFF position.
2.Remove the cutting blade. (See page 52)
3.Remove the blade holder A.
4.Remove grass, thread, mud, or dirt around blade holder A and the
drive bolt.
Inspect the grass guard wear:
When the (A) part of the grass guard no longer wears down, the grass
guard must be replaced. Contact your Honda dealer for replacement.
The (A) part of the grass guard prevents contaminated material from
entering inside the gear case.
