TROUBLE SHOOTING
IF THESE SOLUTIONS DO NOT SOLVE THE PROBLEM CONTACT YOUR AUTHORIZED SERVICING DEALER.
1. NO SPARK.
1. Check Spark. Remove spark plug. Reattach the spark plug wire and lay spark plug on
metal cylinder. Pull the starter rope and watch for spark at spark plug tip. If there is no
spark, repeat test with a new spark plug.
2. NO FUEL.
2. Push primer bulb until bulb is full of fuel. If bulb does not fill, primary fuel delivery system
is blocked. Contact a servicing dealer. If primer bulb fills, engine may be flooded (see
next item).
3. FLOODED ENGINE.
3. Remove spark plug, move blue throttle lever to full speed (
), move red choke lever
to run (
) and pull starter cord 10 to 15 times. This will clear excess fuel from engine.
Clean and reinstall spark plug. Pull starter three times with red choke lever at run (
). If engine does not start, move red choke lever to choke (
) and repeat normal
starting procedure. If engine still fails to start, repeat procedure with a new spark plug.
4. STARTER ROPE PULLS HARDER NOW
4. Contact a servicing dealer.
THAN WHEN NEW.
SOLUTION:
Engine does not reach full speed and emits
excessive smoke:
1. CHECK OIL FUEL MIXTURE.
1. Use fresh fuel and the correct 2-cycle oil mix (see Fueling Instructions)
2. AIR FILTER DIRTY.
2. Clean per instruction in Maintenance Section.
3. SPARK ARRESTOR SCREEN DIRTY.
3. Contact a servicing dealer.
CARBURETOR ADJUSTMENT
The carburetor was adjusted at the factory. Slight re-adjustment may be required for operation above 5000 feet (1500m) altitude.
Adjustment by the owner is not recommended. See an authorized servicing dealer for carburetor adjustment.
CAUTION
Improper carburetor adjustment procedure may result in the following:
1. Hard starting.
2. Unstable idling.
3. Poor acceleration.
4. Severe engine damage.
ALMACENAMIENTO
(1 mes o más)
1. Drene toda la gasolina del depósito en un
recipiente homologado para uso con gasolina.
Ponga en marcha el motor hasta que se pare.
2. Limpie todos los materiales extraños que haya
en la soplador. Almacénela en un lugar bien
ventilado que se encuentre fuera del alcance
de los niños. Manténgala alejada de agentes
corrosivos tales como productos químicos
para el jardín o sales descongelantes.
3. Cumpla con todas los reglamentos nacionales
y locales que se apliquen al almacenamiento
y al manejo de la gasolina. El combustible
sobrante debería ser utilizado en otro equipo
que tenga un motor de 2 tiempos.
STORAGE (1 month or longer)
1. Drain all fuel from tank into a container ap-
proved for gasoline. Run engine until it stops.
2. Clean all foreign material from the blower.
Store it in a well-ventilated place that is
inaccessible to children. Keep away from
corrosive agents such as garden chemicals
and de-icing salts.
3. Abide by all Federal and local regulations for
the safe storage and handling of gasoline.
Excess fuel should be used in other 2-cycle
engine powered equipment.
REMISAGE - (1 mois ou plus)
1. Vidanger complètement le réservoir de
carburant dans un récipient agréé pour contenir
de l’essence. Faire tourner le moteur jusqu’à
ce qu’il s’arrête.
