Attaching the Gas Supply Hose

•  Place the hose clamp onto the hose before attaching the hose.
•  Push the hose over the hose nipple until it is fully engaged. Ensure that the hose covers at least 2cm of the

hose nipple.

•   Move the hose clamp over the section of the hose covering the hose nipple, and tighten properly.
•  Ensure that the switch lever on the appliance is in the “off” position.
•  Perform the leak test as set out below.

Testing for Leaks

The leak test must be carried out in a well-ventilated area, free from any flames or other sources of
ignition.

•  With the cylinder connected to the appliance, open the cylinder valve.
•  Brush the connections (where the gas supply hose connects to the appliance) with a solution of equal

parts dishwashing liquid and water.

•  A stream of bubbles forming on the brushed areas indicate a gas leak.
•  If bubbles appear, turn the valve off at the gas cylinder and disconnect the appliance from the

gas cylinder.

•  Refit the hose and tighten the hose clamp and retry the leak test until no bubbles appear.
•  A leak between the appliance and cylinder can lead to a high pressure fire, which is very

dangerous and can result in extensive injury or even death.

•  DO NOT use a naked flame to test for leaks.
•  DO NOT use the appliance if you are not able to stop any leaks.
