• Then use the hair remover from time to time as required until you have
reached a satisfactory long-term effect.
• Please note that the result does not improve if you treat one area of the
body more often than every 2 weeks.
• After use, make a note of the last energy setting used so that you can use
the hair remover on this setting the next time or on a higher setting if
necessary.
• In order to achieve the desired result from hair removal, it is necessary to
shave beforehand. Do not remove the hair with wax, by using an epilator
and do not pluck the hair out with tweezers.
• Divide the area of skin to be treated mentally into (invisible) sections. Start
in one “corner” and place light pulse next to light pulse. The treatment area
is designed to leave behind slight pressure points to make it easier for you
to correctly position the hair remover for the next light pulse.
• If you have only used the hair remover on your skin with energy setting 1,
you can expose the treated areas of skin to the sun without any worries.
However, do not expose the treated areas of skin to the sun if you have
used the hair remover with an energy setting of 2 or higher. Protect the
treated skin carefully with sun cream (protection factor 30 or higher)
during use and up to at least 2 weeks after the last hair removal session.
When using the hair remover, users will usually experience the
following:
• A humming noise comparable to that of a hairdryer. This is the cooling fan
of the hair remover.
• A banging noise with every trigger of a light pulse. This is caused by trig-
gering the light flash.
• Light pressure from the treatment area. The marks created by the pres-
sure on the skin make orientation easier for you for the next light pulse
when using the pulsating method.
• A feeling of warmth and tingling on the area of skin being treated. It is normal
to experience a gentle feeling of warmth and tingling from the light energy.
• A light red or pink colouring of the skin. Slight colouring, particularly
around the hair roots, is normal. However, end use of the hair remover
immediately if you notice complete reddening of the skin, a formation of
blisters or burning.
6.2 Choosing the energy setting
The intensity of the light pulse is determined by the level of energy that is
emitted on the area of skin to be treated. The hair remover has 5 energy
settings and switches on automatically with the lowest energy setting (1). You
can then gradually increase the energy setting according to your skin type and
your level of experience.
