USER INSTRUCTION
Baking waffles
Lightly grease the heating surface.
•
Heat the appliance with the lid closed.
•
As soon as the required temperature is reached the green operating light goes off and the appliance
•
is sufficiently warmed up.
Open the appliance at its handle.
•
Pour the batter evenly over the lower baking surface. To determine the correct amount of batter, fill it
•
until the batter lightly touches the edge of the baking area. If necessary, increase the amount of batter
used in the next waffle. Make certain that the batter does not run over the edge of the baking surface.
Now close the lid at its handle.
After 2 minutes at the earliest you can open the lid to check the baking result. Opening the lid earlier
•
will only tear the waffle.
Continue to bake the waffle until it has reached the desired level of browning. You can determine
•
the level by means of the baking time. In this way, the waffles can be baked to a golden yellow or a
crispy brown.
When removing the waffles ensure that you do not damage the coating of the baking surface. Never
•
use any sharp or metal objects (such as knife, metal spatula etc.) as they would damage the non-stick
coating of the plates. If you do, it will be harder to separate the waffles from the surface in future.
After baking the last waffle, remove the power plug from the wall socket and allow the appliance to
•
cool with the lid up.
Advices for a better result
For a better result fill batter into waffle maker quickly to produce evenly brown waffles.
•
Place waffles on a cake rack to keep them crispy. Stacked waffles quickly get soggy.
•
Changing the plates
Pull the plug and let the appliance cool down completely before attempting to change plates.
•
When the appliance is open, you will see a small button on the left and right of the handle. Pull the
•
buttons carefully and remove the plates. Insert the plates and push them down slightly before fixing
them with the buttons. Only use matching plates.
