USER INSTRUCTION
Unpacking and checking
After unpacking please investigate the appliance for damage. Do not use the appliance if it is damaged
•
in any way. Bring it back to the dealership immediately.
Remove all packing material, plastic inserts and films. Change the plates to check this feature.
•
Clean the plates to remove residues from production, and heat the empty sandwich toaster. If the
•
appliance smokes a little bit, this is normal when this ends after a few minutes.
Take care that the toaster does not begin to burn, for example, because you have forgotten to remove
•
packing material.
Making a sandwich
Only use clean plates.
•
Before heating, apply a little vegetable oil to the plates. Then close the lid.
•
When you plug in the power cord, the red and green pilot light will illuminate.
•
During heating you may prepare the bread and the fillings. Please note that hot cheese will liquidise
•
and burn where it meets the hot plates.
After about 5 minutes the green light goes off and the red light is on.
•
Lift the upper part by the upper handle and put the filled sandwiches onto the lower plate.
•
Close the toaster.
•
Make sure that the food does not extend over the edge of the plates. Food shall not enter the interior
•
of the appliance.
Leftovers can burn during the next round and influence the taste of the food.
•
Start with short baking time and increase slowly according to experience and necessity. Please note
•
that burnt food is carcinogenic.
To remove the sandwich use heat-resistant plastic or wooden utensils. Do not use your fingers.
•
Danger of burns. Do not use metal utensils to avoid scratching the plates.
Clean the plates with a paper towel and a bit of vegetable oil.
•
Pull the plug after you are finished, or when you leave the room, even for just a short moment.
•
You can save energy when you always fill the whole appliance and prepare the next sandwich while
•
one is baking. You can pull the plug during the last turn.
Beware of the nature of hot food right after baking. The filling can be hotter than the bread.
•
Contact Grill
The plates have non-stick coating. But you should still use oil, lard, butter, ghee, margarine, bacon
•
for baking. Please note that “light” or “lite” products and certain plant oils are generally not suitable
for frying.
When your food starts smoking, use a different oil or fat.
•
Before grilling you can marinate your meat to remove toughness and speed up grilling. You can use
•
red wine, fresh papaya juice, fresh pineapple juice, vinegar, buttermilk, sour cream. You can add
various spices and herbs. Do not add salt. Salt will remove the juices from the meat. Use salt after
grilling. Make sure the meat is covered completely with the marinade and the bowl is closed.
