1. loosen the 3 screws
2. push out gib incl. planing knife.
3. clean the gib/device, shaft
4. replace sharpened/new planing knife (2)
NOTE: Only use planing knives with the same
dimensions and weight to avoid vibrations.
5. insert gib incl. new planing knife again
Slightly tighten the gib screws (3) and carry out
the adjustment procedure.
Correct adjustment is achieved when the planing
knife is in its maximum position at identical
height to the removal table (fixed table part) and
absolutely parallel to it.
7. retighten the gib with the screw.
8. repeat procedure for all planing knives
The following failure symptoms may occur if the planing knives have not been adjusted correctly.

Unevenness In machining direction
One or both planing knives are not aligned parallel
to the removal table (fixed table part).

Increased chip removal at the beginning
One or both planing knives do not protrude
sufficiently in relation to the removal table (fixed

Increased chip removal at the end
One or both planing knives protrude too far in
relation to the removal table (fixed table part).

Check / replace carbon brushes
Remove and check the carbon brushes regularly. Replace them if
they are worn to the limit. Keep the carbon brushes clean and
free to fit in the brackets. Both carbon brushes should be
replaced at the same time. Only use identical carbon brushes.

Check / replace V-Belten
1.
Loosen the three screws (1) of the V-Belt cover(2)
2.
Remove V-Belt cover and check the V-Belt or replace
if necessary.
3.
Then replace the belt cover and fix it again with the
screws.
