Existing Installations (Removal and Replacement)
1.
If not done already:
a.
Power down the system and unplug the Acquisition Workstation.
b.
Remove the front and rear covers of the Acquisition Workstation (see figure

on page 2).
c.
Remove the side covers of the Acquisition Workstation (see figure

Loosen the screws (items A - F in figure

on page 3) and
remove the workstation shield bracket.
3.
Remove the front spacer (item 5) and the front reinforcement plate (item 4) as shown
in figure
on page 3. The items in steps 4 – 7 refer to this
same figure.
4.
Carefully remove the current radiation shield (item 3). Two people are required for
this action.
5.
(If necessary) Remove the back reinforcement plate (item 2) and the back spacer (item
1) and install replacements.
6.
Lift the replacement shield (item 3) carefully and place in position in front of the back
reinforcement plate (item 2). Two people are required for this action.
7.
Insert the front reinforcement plate (item 4). Push at the bottom of the front
reinforcement plate (item 4) to ensure plate is vertical and an equal gap on either
side, then insert the front spacer (item 5).
8.
Install the shield bracket, hand tightening the screws in the order shown (A through
F in figure

on page 3). After hand tightening screws,
tighten 1/4 turn or enough to flatten the lock washer.
