CARE AND MAINTENANCE

The fabric cradle can be laundered at 40 °C. The mattress must not be
laundered due to the buckwheat hulls – a wet cloth can be used to gently
wipe off dirt. The mattress must be protected with a cover – see the eco cover
we offer. Minimum product lifetime: two years.

DISPOSAL

To dispose of a product with expired lifetime or a product that suffered
irreparable damage, the product must be disassembled into separate parts,
pieces, and materials; these must then be disposed of in a manner compliant
with effective legislation and regulations.

WHERE TO HANG THE CRADLE

Hanging the cradle in a suitable place plays an integral role in the cradle’s
functionality. Hang the cradle in the area where you spend the majority of your
time during the day, so you can always keep an eye on the baby. Make sure
there is a place for you to comfortably sit next to the cradle to rock it, so you
can simultaneously play with your other child, read a book, or use your laptop.

HOW TO HANG THE CRADLE

The cradle can be suspended using any safe anchor fixing like a ceiling anchor,
a door frame bar, a free-standing mount, or any other firm element capable of
bearing the load (e. g. stairs, beams, a tree branch, etc.). The suspension point
should be at least 190 cm above the ground/floor if you are using the spring.
The total height of a cradle with a spring is around 135 cm when empty (see the
picture below). If you want to use a higher suspension point, you will need to
use an auxiliary rope to make the suspender part longer. Make sure the cradle
is suspended in a way that allows you to easily place the baby inside. Ideally,
the cradle should be 40 cm above the floor to allow for nice and comfortable
rocking. Consult a fixture expert to make sure your anchor fixing is installed
safely and properly. There are many ways to hang the cradle, depending on
your options and preferences. See the “Suspending the Hojdavak cradle”
section of our online store to see how we propose to suspend your cradle. If
you are using the auxiliary rope, make sure to use a knot that will prevent it
from scraping and tearing at the fixture point.
