UNPACKING THE DEVICE
Unpack and check the device carefully. Familiarize yourself with all its features and functions. Make sure all parts of the device are included
and in good condition. If any components are missing or damaged, they should be replaced before using the device.
BEFORE USING
1. Connecting to the battery (in the vehicle)
WARNING: This battery charger is not suitable for supporting engine start. Do not turn on the ignition or do not attempt to start the vehicle
with the charger connected.
This charger is only suitable for use with a 12V battery, negative grounding in electrical systems of the vehicle and mounted in the vehicle.
Marine batteries should ALWAYS be taken to dry land for recharging. This charger is not intended for use in a marine environment.
If necessary, check the fluid level in the battery before charging. Top up with distilled water if necessary. Check the battery manufacturer’s
instructions to see if the caps of terminals should be removed.
Make sure that the engine is switched off and all electrical accessories (lights, radio, etc.) are turned off. Leave the hood, trunk or vehicle
access panels open while charging the battery. Please find the battery and identify the battery terminals. The positive terminal is usually
marked with „+” symbol, the negative terminal is usually marked with „-” symbol. If you are not sure which terminal is which, you should
seek professional help. If the battery terminals are corroded or dirty, clean them with a suitable wire brush.
Connect the positive (red) terminal to the positive battery terminal.
Attach the negative (black) terminal to a clean part of the vehicle chassis or other metal element.
Check if the terminals are well connected and they will not loosen during charging.
Do not connect the terminal to any part of the vehicle fuel system. Note: Do not connect the negative terminal to the negative terminal of the
battery. It prevents the risk of sparking at the tip of the battery which could ignite flammable gas.
2. Connecting to a standalone battery
This battery charger is designed for use only with 12V wet-cell lead-acid batteries.
If necessary, check the fluid level in the battery before charging. Top up with distilled water if necessary. Check the battery manufacturer’s
instructions to see if the caps of terminals should be removed. Identify the battery terminals. The positive terminal is usually marked with
„+” symbol and negative

If the battery terminals are corroded or dirty, clean them with a suitable wire brush.
Connect the positive (red) terminal to the positive battery terminal
Connect the negative (black) terminal to the negative battery terminal

OPERATION: CHARGING THE BATTERY
IMPORTANT: The battery charger is not suitable for charging AGM, Gel, VRLA (Valve Regulated Lead Acid) or maintenance-free batteries. It
is only suitable for wet-cell lead-acid batteries.
IMPORTANT: This is a single-step manual charger. It has no automatic function and it does not turn off charging when the battery is fully
charged.
IMPORTANT: Make sure that the battery is in a well-ventilated area before charging in order to prevent the formation of flammable gases.
IMPORTANT: it must be connected to a grounded outlet.
Note: The batteries should be charged only with a current equal to 1/10 of their rated Ah value (e.g. 100 Ah battery should not be charged with
a current higher than 10 A), if the battery has been fully discharged, it should be charged with a current not higher than 1/20 of its Ah value .
Note: Monitor the ammeter regularly so that you can turn off the charger as soon as the battery is fully charged. When charging very cold
batteries, the initial charging speed may increase as the battery warms up. Do not try to charge a frozen battery. Internally damaged (short-
-circuited) batteries will draw very high current without charging. If the battery has been charged for 5-10 minutes and it does not show any
drop in charging current, the battery may be damaged. Discontinue charging and have a professional battery test performed
Disconnect the negative terminal (black)
Disconnect the positive clamp (red)
Insert the battery into the vehicle if it was removed ensuring that the positive pole is connected before the negative pole.
IMPORTANT: disconnect the battery charger from the mains supply, then disconnect the battery. Leaving the battery connected may cause
overcharging and permanent damage of the battery.
MAINTENANCE
WARNING: Always make sure that the charger is disconnected from the mains supply before performing any maintenance procedure.
1. Cleaning - keep the device clean. Do not let debris build up on any part of the device.
Always remove dust and particles and never let the vents be blocked as it will prevent the charger from cooling. Use a soft brush, dry cloth
