5.2.2.1 Head Positioning
Procedure:
• Lift the mount/demount head completely out of the
work zone, with the control (
4 Figure 5.2-6
).
Note
: In the opening / closing of the operatine arm
lower the tyre shoulder with the bead breaker disc, in
order to make room for the moving head.
• Activate the pedal control (
2 Figure 5.2-7-a
) to bring
the Swing Arm into the working position on the wheel.
DURING THE CLOSURE OF THE HEAD, MAKE
SURE THAT ITS POSITION DOES NOT KNOCK INTO
THE WHEEL.
• Bring the tool
into contact with the edge of the rim
and lock it in place (
Figure 5.2-7-c
).
Only for versions with Laser Pointer
(
Figura 5.2-7-b
);
When approaching the rim, refer to the position
indicated by the laser pointer on the edge of the rim.
•
Lock with the control (
4 Fig. 5.2-6
).
The tool automatically moves away from the rim in a
vertical and radial sense by about 2 mm; this is
necessary to prevent damage to the rim.
Note
:
once the mount/demount head is
positioned properly, matching wheels
may be changed without having to reset
the head.
Note
:
The plastic inserts inside the mounting/
demounting head must be replaced regularly.
Each machine is supplied with various spare
inserts (in the accessories box).
5.2.2.2 Upper bead extraction
Using the Automatic Tool:
•
Once the tool has been positioner, as shown in
the previous section, use demounting tool control
level to bring it in the maximum extension position
(
Figure 5.2-8
).
WARNING! IF THE CLAW OF THE AUTOMATIC
TOOL PRESSES ON THE SIDE OF THE TYRE AND
DOES NOT ASSUME THE POSITION, DO NOT
USE THE SELF-CENTRING TURNTABLE TO AVOID
DAMAGING THE PARTS.
