8.1 General rules
Proper and regular cleaning will ensure safe operation and extend the life span
of the device .
Warning!
Before performing cleaning and maintenance operations, turn
the appliance off, disconnect it from the power source and let it cool down, so as to avoid
burns and electrocution .

2 . Wait for about 30 minutes until the appliance cools down .

Cleaning
1 . Before cleaning the iron wait for its soleplate to cool down .
2 . Wipe the iron’s soleplate and housing with a damp cloth .
3 . Never use caustic or abrasive cleaning agents to clean the appliance .
4 . Do not use vinegar, chlorine or any other chemical compounds to clean the iron .
Attention!
Do not clean the appliance with any strong chemicals, alkali, abrasive
or disinfecting agents, as they may damage the surface of the appliance.
Do not use metal, sharp or rough cleaning accessories, as they may
damage the surface of the appliance!
Do not immerse the iron or the power cord in water or other liquids.
SELF-CLEAN function
1 . Connect the steam iron to the mains .
2 . Fill the water reservoir .
3 . Set the temperature control knob to the maximum setting .
4 . Wait until the steam iron reaches the desired temperature and the light indicator
goes off .
5 . Press the SELF-CLEAN button for about 1 minute while holding the iron in a horizontal
position above a sink . Boiling water and steam together with rinsed off impurities
will be ejected from the openings in the ceramic soleplate .
6 . Disconnect the steam iron from the mains .
7 . Move the iron to (preferably) an old piece of fabric . This will guarantee that the
iron’s soleplate is dry during storage . It is recommended that the iron be stored
in an upright position.
