7. USE
7.1 Before use
Before turning the device on, place it on a flat, solid surface resistant to high
temperature.
Make sure the electric mains is compliant with the requirements on the rating
plate and in this manual.
7.2 Switching the device on/off
1. To turn the device on, put the power cord plug into the device, then insert the
mains plug into a power outlet. The device is ready for operation.
2. To turn the device off, unplug it from the power outlet.
Caution:
The device becomes energized immediately after it is connected to the mains.
Caution!
Connect the device to a nearby easily accessible mains socket so that it can be
disconnected in the event of an emergency.
7.3 Foil heat sealing
CAUTION! Only use foils intended for vacuum packing, with the maximum width
of 30 cm.
1. To seal a bag edge, lift the top lid of the device.
2. To do this, press both top lid lock release buttons simultaneously and open the
top lid.
3. Place the foil edge on the heat sealing element. Make sure the sealed edge is
straight, and free from folds, bends, food and liquid remains. The edge cannot
protrude past the device vacuum chamber.
