7.1 Switching the device on/off.
Use the on/off switch on the device housing to turn on/
off the device.
Caution!
Prior to turning the device on using the main on/
off switch, make sure the batteries are correctly inserted.
1. To turn on the LEDs, set the main on/off switch to l,
then press the touch-sensitive on/off switch.
2. To turn off the LEDs, press the touch-sensitive on/off
switch again, then set the main on/off switch to 0.
You can also turn off the LEDs directly using the main
on/off switch.
7.2 Inserting and changing batteries
Caution!
The included batteries may be covered with
protective foil or an insulation strip. Before the first use
of the device, remove the protective foil or strip from the
batteries.
3. Make sure the device is turned off.
4. Remove the battery compartment cover by prying it
up gently.
5. Remove the spent batteries (if present) and insert
new batteries (4 x AA 1.5 V ), observing the polarity
markings in the battery compartment.
6. Replace and press down the battery compartment
cover.
