Startup
Unpacking
1. Remove the appliance, all accessory
parts and the user manual from the box.
2. Remove all packaging materials and pro-
tective foils from the product and the acces-
sories before using it for the first time.
3. Check for visible signs of damage or
missing items.
NOTE
►
Never remove the rating plate or any
warning signs on the appliance.
►
Keep the original packaging during the
guarantee period in order to pack the appli-
ance properly in the event of a guarantee
or warranty claim. Transport damage will
invalidate the warranty or guarantee.
Before using for the first time
1. Familiarise yourself with the appliance
and its functions.
2. To try them out, attach the various differ-
ent accessory parts and cloths as described
in the following sections.
Assembling the appliance
(images A1, A2)
1. Attach the handle (9) to the main body.
2.
Insert the fixing screw into the hole on
both sides of the handle and tighten them
with a suitable Phillips screwdriver (see im-
age A1).
3. Align the guide of the main body to the
slot in the floor brush and insert the lower
end of the main body into the floor brush until
it snaps in.
4.
To remove the floor brush, press the
release mechanism on the back of the floor
brush and pull it out of the main body (see
image A2).
Using as a floor cleaner
Insert the hand-held steam cleaner into the
main body.
Using as a hand-held steam cleaner
Take the hand-held steam cleaner out of the
base appliance and mount the desired noz-
zle as described in the section
Hand-held
steam cleaner: attaching accessories
(page 14)
.
NOTE
When using for the first time, it is possible
that production-related additives such as
grease could cause slight odour or smoke.
This is completely normal. Ensure sufficient
ventilation.
Preparation
Filling the water tank
(images B1-B3)
1. Press both tank release buttons (12) und
remove the water tank (see image B1).
2. Turn the tank cover (4) 45° clockwise to
open it.
3. Put the water tank aside with the opening
facing upwards.
4. Fill with water to a maximum of 400 ml.
5. Close the water tank by turning the cap
45 ° clockwise (see image B2).
6. Push the water tank onto the appliance
until it audibly snaps in.
NOTE
►
A metal ball is situated in the water
tank that is used as a weight for the suc-
tion hose. Make sure that this metal ball is
always covered with water so that steam
can flow evenly (see image B3).
