Remove the screw holding the
grey wire from the rotor blade to
the head button.
4.
Unscrew the rotor blade mounting
screw and remove the rotor blade
from the blade grip.
Reverse these steps to install the new
rotor blade. Be sure to attach the grey
wire to side of the head button and the
black wire to the bottom of the button.
Replacing the Tail Rotor Drive Gears
1.
Remove the tailcase mounting
screw from the side of the tailboom.
2.
Pull the tailcase and driveshaft
out of the tailboom. Remove the
5 tailcase screws and separate
the tailcase. To replace the drive
shaft pinion gear, pull the defective
gear off the shaft and install the
new gear.
NOTE:
If the drive
shaft needs to be replaced, the
support bearings should be
replaced also.
3.
When the tail rotor shaft with the
beveled gear is to be replaced,
the tail rotor blade will have to
be removed and installed on the
new part. Please note how the
rotor blade is installed on the tail
rotor shaft.
