Lubricants Chart

While oil is draining, change the oil filter element. See instructions below.

(i) Provide a container for catching spilled oil from the filter.

(ii) Remove the oil filter by twisting counter-clockwise and inspect it.

NOTE:

The gasket can stick to the filter head. Make sure it is removed before installing a new filter.

CAUTION

If bearing metal particles are found on the element or in the shell, the source should
be determined before a failure.

CAUTION

Determine source of moisture, internal leaks, defective seals, gaskets, etc.

(iii) Fill the new filter with clean lubricating oil before installation.

(iv) Apply a light coating of lubricating oil to the gasket-sealing surface and install the filter.

over tighten the filter.
