3) Coupling Service
When ordering coupling kits or other parts from your ITW GSE Group Distributor, be sure to include all
pertinent information from the unit’s identification plate including the Specification No., Model No., and
unit rating.

a) Replacement Coupling Kit.
A replacement coupling kit is available from your ITW GSE Group Distributor. This kit provides a
replacement coupling assembly with attaching hardware and installation instructions.
b) Bushing Kit.
A bushing kit is available from Hobart for replacing the rubber bushing only in the coupling assembly.
However, it should be noted that the finished coupling assembly must be balanced to 1/2 inch-ounce
(360 mg-m) minimum, which may be a problem in the field. If bushing replacement only is required,
the kit part number is 480290. Each kit contains the required number of bushings, a container of
lubrication, and installation instructions.
c) Bushing Replacement.
To replace bushings only, proceed as follows:
(1) Press out ALL old bushings.
(2) Refer to Figure 4. Clean each bushing socket thoroughly, removing all traces of old rubber. DO
NOT scratch or deform the bore of the bushing socket.
