Reverse slow motion
Use of the shuttle ring allows many different kinds of playback –
slow-motion play, normal play, forward search, reverse slow-
motion play, reverse play and reverse search.
Note:
If the shuttle ring is operated in the stop mode, the VCR
enters the fast forward or rewind mode.
• Numbers indicate tape speeds with normal play as 1.
Notes:
• The picture may contain noise, streaking or other distortion when it changes.
• If noise bars appear on the TV screen during slow/still mode, first set the VCR to the slow mode and
then adjust the TRACKING buttons (
or
) to minimize the noise bars. The noise bars in the still
mode are reduced automatically. After adjusting the tracking during slow mode, set the VCR to reverse
slow mode and then press the TRACKING buttons (
or
) to minimize noise bars.
■
How to use the shuttle ring
If the shuttle ring is operated during normal or still playback,
turning the ring to the positions indicated gives the special effects
shown.
• Release the shuttle ring for normal play or still play.
• If the shuttle ring is operated during still play and is then
released, the VCR re-enters the still play mode. If the VCR is left
for more than 30 seconds to one minute after still play is restored
from reverse play, reverse slow-motion play or slow-motion play,
the VCR will enter the stop mode automatically to prevent
damage to the tape.
