OPERATING THE ENGINE

STOPPING THE ENGINE

IMPORTANT: Prevent possible engine damage.

If engine stops when operating load,
remove load. Restart engine immediately.
Run 30 seconds at half speed before
adding load.

1. Park the machine on a level surface.

2. Lower the bucket to the ground.

3. Turn auto-idle switch (1) off.

IMPORTANT: Turbocharger may be damaged if the

engine is not properly shut down.

4. Set engine speed lever (2) to the Low position. Run

the engine at slow idle speed without load for five
minutes.

5. Turn key switch (3) OFF. Remove the key from key

switch (3).

6. Pull pilot control shut-off lever (4) to the LOCK

position.
