The battery does not engage

Retaining lug on battery or tool

Clean the retaining lugs and
re-insert the batteries.
The battery runs down more
quickly than usual.
Battery state of health is not opti-

Product does not start. Only one charged battery inserted.

Insert the second charged
battery.
No hammering action. The product is too cold.
▶
Bring the product into contact
with the working surface, switch
it on and allow it to idle. If
necessary, repeat the procedure
until the hammering mechanism
begins to operate.
Product or battery gets very
hot.
Electrical fault.

Immediately switch off the prod-
uct. Remove the batteries and
keep them under observation.
Allow them to cool down. Con-
tact Hilti Service.
Product cuts out while in op-
eration or does not start
Product/batteries too hot or batter-
ies too cold.

Batteries too cold. Bring the
batteries to the recommended

11 Disposal
WARNING
Risk of injury due to incorrect disposal! Health hazards due to escaping gases or liquids.

DO NOT send batteries through the mail!
▶
Cover the terminals with a non-conductive material (such as electrical tape) to prevent short circuiting.
▶
Dispose of your battery out of the reach of children.
▶
Dispose of the battery at your Hilti Store , or consult your local governmental garbage disposal or public
health and safety resources for disposal instructions.
Most of the materials from which Hilti products are manufactured can be recycled. The materials must be
correctly separated before they can be recycled. In many countries, your old tools, machines or appliances
can be returned to Hilti for recycling. Ask Hilti Service or your Hilti sales representative for further information.
