7 Guidelines
7.1 Fastening guidelines
These guidelines must be observed at all times.
NOTE
For detailed information, please ask your local Hilti sales and service office for a copy of the applicable technical
guidelines or national technical regulations.
7.1.1 Minimum distances and spacing
Minimum distances and spacing when fastening to steel
A min. edge distance = 15 mm (⁵⁄₈")
B min. spacing = 20 mm (³⁄₄")
C min. base material thickness = 3 mm (¹⁄₈")
Minimum distances and spacing when fastening to concrete
A min. edge distance = 70 mm (2³⁄₄")
B min. spacing = 80 mm (3¹⁄₈")
C min. base material thickness = 100 mm (4")
7.1.2 Depth of penetration
NOTE

Nail lengths for steel
ET Depth of penetration: 12 ± 2 mm (½" ± ¹⁄₁₆")
Nail lengths for concrete
