6 Before use

NOTE

Read the operating instructions before you operate the

tool for the first time.

6.1 Checking the tool

WARNING

Do not operate the tool when parts are damaged

or when the controls do not function correctly. If

necessary, have the tool repaired at an authorized

Hilti service center.

Check that no cartridge strip is loaded in the tool. If there

is a cartridge strip in the tool, pull it up out of the tool by

hand from above.

Check all external parts of the tool for damage and check

that all controls operate faultlessly.

Check the piston and spring clip for wear and ensure that

the parts have been fitted correctly.
