MAINTENANCE AND INSPECTION

1. Cleaning the

lter
CAUTION

Do not wash the
fi
lter in a washing machine.

Do not wash the
fi
lter in hot water or dry it by
fi
re.
If the vacuuming e
ffi
ciency is poor even when the dust case has been emptied, remove the
fi
lter and wash it in cold or warm water. (The water should not be hot to the touch.)
After washing, dry out of direct sunlight.
If there is dust on the fan
fi
lter, hold the cleaner with the fan
fi
lter pointing downwards to keep
dust from entering the motor and lightly clean with a small brush such as a used toothbrush.
NOTE
○
Do not use gasoline, thinner, benzene or kerosene as they can melt plastic.
○
Do not use an air gun or similar tool to clean the pre
fi
lter,
fi
lter, fan
fi
lter or the appliance
itself. (

Doing so could push dirt into the appliance and cause malfunction.

2. Inspecting the mounting screws
Regularly inspect all mounting screws and ensure that they are properly tightened. Should
any of the screws be loose, retighten them immediately. Failure to do so may result in
serious hazard.
3. Maintenance of the motor
The motor unit winding is the very “heart” of the power tool.
Exercise due care to ensure the winding does not become damaged and/or wet with oil or water.
NOTE
Regularly idle the motor to clean out dirt and dust.
Damage may result if dirt or dust collects in the motor.
