When the protection function mentioned below is activated, the mode display lamp will

[Overload Protection Function]
Operation is stopped because of an overload.
Try operating the unit once again when the cause of the overload has been removed.
[Temperature Protection Function]
Operation is stopped because the unit is overheated.
Cool the unit in a location that is shaded and well-ventilated.
Try operating the unit once again after it has su
ffi
ciently cooled.
NOTE
Do not give a strong shock to the switch panel or break it. It may lead to a trouble.
GRINDER OPERATION
CAUTION
To extend the lifetime, the lithium-ion battery equips with the protection function to
stop the output. Therefore, if the tool is overloaded, the motor may stop. However,
this is not the trouble but the result of protection function. In this case, release the
switch of tool and eliminate the causes of overloading.
NOTE

To prevent injuries, this product has a function that prevents unexpected motor rotation
when the battery is inserted. The motor will not run if the battery is inserted while the switch
is still ON. After installing the battery, turn the switch o
ff
and then back on again.

The G3618DA model is equipped with a protection function that will shut down the tool in
the event of an overload.
Should the tool shut down due to an overload, turn the power o
ff
and then turn it back on
again.
An overload that stops tool operation and lasts more than 10 seconds may not be released
by turning the power o
ff
and on. Should this happen, remove the battery from the tool and
reinstall it before turning on the power switch.
