1.3.3. Height and length adjustment of the shoulder belt
Height adjustment of the shoulder belts (
D1
):
Loosen the shoulder belts by pushing the metal belt adjuster (
H
)
and pull both harness belts (
G2
) towards you.
IMPORTANT:
Do not tear at the shoulder pads.
Release the ends of the harness belt (
G2
) on the back of the seat unit (
ST
)
from the belt anchor (
R
). Remove the belts of the shoulder pads
from the connecting hooks.
Put the belt ends through the belt slots
(
J1 or J2 or J3
) that are appropriate to the child‘s
size. Finally, thread the belt ends back into the belt
anchorage (
K
) and connect the shoulder belts with
the shoulder belt connection.
To prolong the shoulder belts (
D1
), press the belt
adjuster (
H
) and simultaneously pull the harness belts forward.
Do not tear at the shoulder pads.
To shorten the shoulder belts (
D1
), just pull the harness central belt (
D3
).
IMPORTANT:
When doing this, the shoulder belts must not be clamped
nor twisted. The shoulder belts must be adjusted in such a way that they
run horizontally or that they lay just below the shoulders of your child.The
shoulder belts must neither run behind the back of the child nor at ear level
nor higher.
ATTENTION:
It is recommended to check the belt position very regularly
and to adjust it to the size of your growing child. The belts must lie
firmly against the child‘s body and must not be twisted.
1.4. Installing HEYNER® MultiProtect ERGO 3D-SP into your car
1.4.1. Conditions for installation
HEYNER® MultiProtect ERGO 3D-SP
may be placed on all passenger
and back seats of the vehicle that are equipped with a
three-point-vehicle-belt. The child seat must not be positioned on a
vehicle seat, which only has a lap belt, for example on the centre back
seat of cars with three seats in the back.
1.4.2. Placing on the vehicle seat
Now put
HEYNER® MultiProtect ERGO 3D-SP
onto the car seat
in driving direction.
1.4.3. Installation and fixing
The three-point-belt of a vehicle is made of 4 parts: the lap belt (
O
), the
diagonal belt (
N
), the belt latch (
P
) and the three-point belt buckle (
Q
).
Make sure
HEYNER® MultiProtect ERGO 3D-SP
is held firmly in place, pull the belt latch (
P
) of
your car’s three-point-vehicle-belt from the top
through under the harness belts (
D
). On both
sides, the lap belt (
O
) needs to be kept under the
fixation lugs (
L
).
