As the INOTEST is a comparative measuring in-
strument, it must first be set for the size in question
with the aid of a master gauge. The instrument only
indicates the deviation for set size.
Master gauges should be made of a material having
approximately the same coefficient of expansion as
the workpiece material.

It is important to calibrate the instrument in the
same position as it will occupy when measuring the
workpiece.
