6. Starting up for the first time
NOTE
The Easys System must only be put into operation for the first
time by the retailer‘s or manufacturer‘s qualified and skilled
personnel.
NOTE
Improper installation of the Easys system may result in damage
to property or consequential damage. Before putting the machi-
ne into operation, always:
1. check all screw connections to make sure they are tight.
2. check all plug connections to make sure they are firmly in
place.
3. Furniture parts operated by Easys must provide easy running
action. They must never be overloaded or jammed.
DANGER
Working on live components in the improper manner
presents a danger to life!
Work on the electrics or electrical installation must
only be carried out by a qualified electrician.
When working on the electrics, disconnect the Easys
system from the mains power supply by unplugging it
from the mains power socket .
WARNING
There is a risk of injury if the Easys system starts up uninten-
tionally!
1. The power socket(s) or fuses required for supplying power to
the Easys system must be easily accessible.
2. Unplug the Easys system from the mains power supply in the
event of faults or malfunctions.
WARNING
Incorrect or incomplete installation of the drawer or piece of
furniture presents a risk of injury!
Before putting the system into operation, check to make sure
that the drawer or piece of furniture is fully assembled. Drawers
must be fully engaged on their runners.
Also make sure that furniture is standing firmly. Furniture must
be level and fixed to the wall or floor to prevent it from tipping
over (particularly when drawers are open / laden).
!
Follow the furniture manufacturer‘s installation instructions
when installing the drawer or assembling the piece of furniture.
CAUTION
Overloaded or jammed drawers or pieces of furniture present
a risk of injury!
Drawers must not be overloaded and jammed. Observe the
product specifications for the drawer system used and check to
ensure smooth, easy action.
CAUTION
There is a risk of injury from electrical devices heating up!
Remember that electric devices heat up when they are in opera-
tion. For this reason, do not cover devices with objects, such as
textiles, and provide good ventilation.
Before starting up the Easys Systems, check whether:
• the machine has been installed in accordance with the regu-
lations specified,
• any foreign objects (tools, construction material etc.) have
been left in piece of furniture (carcase),
• moving furniture parts can move without obstruction into the
spaces they require,
• the safety distances are observed,
• the operating voltage is the same as the voltage shown for
the Easys components.
