Remove the unit from its packaging and check it to ensure it is in good condition before installing and
operating.

Send the packaging to be recycled.

let children play with plastic bags or other parts of the
packaging.

a.
This appliance must be disconnected from its power source during installation or service activities
and when replacing.
b.
DO NOT
use this heater in the immediate surroundings of a bath, shower or swimming pool or
hot tub where it could fall into a container full of water.
c.
Switches and other controls must not be within reach of a person in a bath, pool, hot tub or shower.
d.
DO NOT
touch this heater or its controls with wet hands.
e.
DO NOT
allow power cables to become immersed in water or other liquid.
f.
DO NOT
open or try to repair the heater yourself. Servicing should be performed by qualified
personnel only.
4.
The INSPIRE Comfort is not equipped with an integrated device to control the room temperature. Do not
use for room heating when rooms are occupied by people incapable of leaving the room on their own,
unless constant supervision is provided.
5.
In order to avoid overheating and potential fire hazard,
DO NOT
cover the heater under any circumstances.
DO NOT
locate the heater within 3 feet (1m) of any flammable materials (eg. Furniture, curtains) or where
curtains, towels or other flammable items can be blown onto the heater.

If the heater should become accidentally covered during operation, turn it off immediately and remove any
objects that have covered the heater.
7.
DO NOT
touch the heater when in use. Herschel panel heaters have a surface temperature of 194 - 212°F
(90 - 100°C) and prolonged contact with the heater will cause burns and injury.
8.
DO NOT
use the heater if the power cord is damaged or after the heater malfunctions, or if it has been
dropped or damaged in any manner. Check each heater for damage before installation. Make sure that the
heater itself, the plug and the cable are free of any visible signs of damage. The supply cord cannot be
replaced. If the cord is damaged the appliance must be scrapped in accordance with the local Waste
Electrical Equipment regulations.

T
his heater must only be used for the heating of people or buildings. The heater is not to be used by children
or persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities, or lack of experience or knowledge,
regardless of whether they have been given instruction or are under supervision. Children should be kept
away and should not be left unsupervised around the unit.
10.
All operators shall only switch on/off the appliance provided that it has been placed or installed in its
intended normal operating position in accordance with these instructions. Children must not plug in, switch
on or regulate the appliance or perform user maintenance including cleaning.
11.
IMPORTANT:
Herschel panels are designed for use with a voltage between 120 volts 60Hz AC and 240
volts, 60 Hz AC according to the rating label on the heater. Do not use the heater if you appear to have the
incorrectly rated panel for the available mains supply. Refer to your local dealer for advice.
12.
IMPORTANT:
The heater must be mounted on a non-flammable surface.
