Operate the kick starter or electric starter
switch for slightly longer than usual without
opening the throttle if the vehicle has been left
standing for a long time or when the fuel tank
has just been refilled.
Do not use the electric starter for more than 5
seconds at a time. Release the starter switch
for approximately 10 seconds before pressing
it again.
NOTE
open, run the engine only long enough to
move your vehicle out of the garage.
Your vehicle's exhaust contains poisonous
carbon monoxide gas. High levels of carbon
monoxide can collect rapidly in enclosed areas
such as a garage. Do not run the engine with
the garage door closed. Even with the door

Do not attempt to start the engine and run the
vehicle without a battery. This may lead to
electrical and electronic components failure.

The programmed-FI malfunction indicator
lamp (MIL) glows continuously until the
vehicle starts.
•
Turn the ignition switch (1) to "ON".
•
The electric starter will only work when the
front or integrated brake lever is operated.
•
Park the vehicle on its main stand.
