Using the brake
Pull the
brake lever
until the desired speed has
been reached.
Crash caused by incorrect use
Handling the brake improperly can lead to loss of
control or crashes, which may result in injuries.
Shift your weight back and down as far as possible.
Practise braking and emergency braking before the
bicycle is used in public spaces.
Crash caused by wet conditions
The
tyres
may slip on wet roads. In wet conditions you
must also expect a longer braking distance. The
braking sensation differs from the usual sensation.
This can cause loss of control or a crash, which may
result in injuries.
Ride slowly and brake in good time.
Crash after cleaning, servicing or repair
After cleaning, servicing or repairing the bicycle, the
braking effect may be temporarily unusually weak. This
may result in a crash and injuries.
After cleaning, servicing or repair, carry out a few
test brake applications.
Burns caused by heated brake
The brakes may become very hot during operation.
There is a risk of burns in case of contact.
Never touch the components of the brake directly
after the ride.
