This encoder is designed for a connection to a SELV power supply. It is not allowed to connect the
encoder to a direct current line voltage
.
According to Norm EN 61326-1 DC supply connections to the encoder are treated as input/ output
signal lines. For cable lengths greater than 30 m and outdoor applications additional measures must
be implemented in order to comply with CE.
Installation environment and wiring are influential on the encoder`s EMC: Thus the machine builder
must secure EMC of the whole facility (device) by appropriate filtering measures .
In further processing of the encoder ensure a neat ESD - protection.
The occurring temperature and the ambient conditions (influence of media, UV-light) need to be con-
sidered. In addition, self-heating needs to be considered!
The terminal block in the terminal box is suitable for wire cross-sections of 0.5-1.5 mm².
The gap width are smaller then specified in the standard. Moreover some gap lengths are exceeding
tabular values. Therefore repairs according to tabular values are not allowed.
