1. Introduction

KWL HB 250/
KWL HB 500
.
The air humidification unit
KWL HB 250/
KWL HB 500
is available in two sizes
and complies with state-of-the-art
technology standards. It demonstrates
operational safety, ease of operation and
economic efficiency.
In order to operate your air humidifica-
tion unit safely, properly and economi-
cally, please read carefully and observe
these operating instructions.
Only use the air humidification unit in
good order and condition, in accordance
with its intended use, in a safety and ha-
zard conscious manner and by observing
all information in these instructions!
Please contact us if you have any further
questions.
In case of queries and spare part orde-
ring, please always have the device type
and serial number (see type plate on
unit) ready!
Please keep these operating instructions
in a safe place that is close to hand at all
times. Please contact us if you lose the
documentation.
The air humidification unit
KWL HB 250/
KWL HB 500
is suitable for installation or
retrofitting in ventilation systems with a
maximum air volume flow of 250 m³/h
for KWL HB 250 or 500 m³/h for KWL HB
500.
This publicly available unit is intended
for installation in residential buildings or
commercial buildings.
It is used for active room air humidifica-
tion and can also be used as an after air
heater.
The compact air humidification unit
works on the natural evaporation
principle and ensures a constant and
optimal supply air humidity, adjustable
in the range from 40 % to 60 % relative
humidity.
An integrated air heater battery also
generates a constant supply air tempe-
rature, adjustable in the range from 15
°C to 25 °C.
The intended use also includes compli-
ance with our prescribed installation and
operating instructions. Only qualified and
authorised persons may work on and
with the unit. People who carry out the
shipping or work on the unit must have
read and understood the corresponding
parts of the operating instructions, espe-
cially
section 3 “Safety instructions”
.
The installer must also inform the end
user about any possible hazards.
The air humidification unit
KWL HB
250/KWL HB 500
is not a ready-to-use
product. It may only be commissioned
once it has been properly installed and
connected in the ventilation system.
The air humidification unit is not suitable
for installation outdoors. It may only
be installed in suitable and temperate
indoor spaces.
