6.9 Troubleshooting
Fault Unit behaviour Problem Solution
4 - Supply air fan fault Unit does not operate Fan overheating or damage
to the thermal contacts of
the supply air fan Determine cause of fan overheating (faulty bearing, mechani-
cal problem, short circuit,...). If necessary, replace the fan.
5 - Extract air fan fault Unit does not operate Fan overheating or damage
to the thermal contacts of
the extract air fan
Determine cause of fan overheating (faulty bearing, mechani-
cal problem, short circuit,...). If necessary, replace the fan.
6 - Supply air filter blocked Unit ventilates Filter blocked Check condition of filter and replace if necessary.
7 - Extract air filter blocked Unit ventilates Filter blocked Check condition of filter and replace if necessary.
8 - Preheater 1 failure Unit ventilates Pre-heater overheated Check whether the air can freely flow through the unit and
the electrical pre-heater is cooling sufficiently. Check the
triggering of the safety temperature limiter.
9 - Preheater 1 fault Unit ventilates Pre-heater overheated Check whether the air can freely flow through the unit and
the electrical pre-heater is cooling sufficiently. Check the
triggering of the safety temperature limiter.
12 - CO2 sensor fault Unit ventilates Air quality sensor malfun-
ction Check whether the CO2 sensor is correctly connected. If
necessary, check the functioning of the CO2 sensor (output
signal value).

Unit does not operate Temperature sensor fault Check whether the sensor is correctly connected to the
electronics. If necessary, carry out function test on sensor
using resistance measurement (the resistance value at +20°C
is around 10kW)

electronics. If necessary, carry out function test on sensor

contaminated. Check the pressure hoses for consistency. If
necessary, replace the pressure sensor module.
